Madeleine Sherman is the Project Manager for the Coral Resilience Lab at the Hawai‘i Institute of Marine Biology. While managing outreach and education for the Coral Resilience Lab, she has directed various youth and community programs including a molecular biology mentorship program for underrepresented students in STEM, developed interactive curricula on the importance of corals in Hawai‘i, and coordinated community coral restoration projects. Madeleine has also worked as a marine science teacher, a laboratory technician at Hawai‘i Pacific University, and an assistant aquarist at the Waikīkī Aquarium. Being raised in Maunalua Bay, O‘ahu, the ocean is her playground, and when not under the water working, you can find Madeleine at the surface either surfing, snorkeling, or swimming.
