Dr. Gina Della Togna is the Executive Director of the Amphibian Survival Alliance and a Research Associate of the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute (STRI). She obtained her Ph.D. at the University of Maryland on Molecular and Cell Biology and undertook her post-doctoral training at Smithsonian’s National Zoo and Conservation Biology Institute. Her research is focused on developing Assisted Reproductive Technologies for endangered amphibian species. Dr. Della Togna is part of the IUCN SSC Amphibian Specialist Group, Co-Chair of the IUCN SSC ASG Assisted Reproductive Technologies and Gamete Biobanking Working Group, and a member of the IUCN Atelopus Survival Alliance Task Force.
