A Bioblitz in Ecuador

August 21, 2023

Documenting wildlife is a critical step in helping to protect and preserve the environment. Young volunteers from the Reserva Youth Land Trust are exploring the jungles of Ecuador to survey, photograph, and identify species—and to help protect their right to exist.

This type of wildlife survey is known as a Bioblitz, and groups anywhere can participate in similar exercises to identify and catalogue local biodiversity.
