Rallying Support for Whale Shark Conservation

It hasn’t been easy to convert the fishing community of Gujarat, India to be whale shark allies — but the message is finally breaking through. After spiritual leader Morari Bapu called on the communities to show empathy to the sharks, local groups have begun using live performances and life-sized whale shark models to demonstrate proper care of the wild animals.
