Foxes & Sea Turtles

Invasive foxes are a dire threat to native Australian wildlife, especially sea turtles.

Not only are the foxes hunting down turtle nests, but to make matters worse, they prey on nests only on the Australian mainland, where the warmer beaches result in more female hatchlings. By eating too many females, the foxes jeopardize the entire sea turtle population.

To save the turtles, conservationists call on a trusted animal ally: dogs that are capable of tracking down fox dens.
