Dumisani Zwane is a dedicated conservationist with a strong academic background and extensive expertise in wildlife management. He completed his grade 12 at Bonguzulu High School in 1997 and went to earn a Diploma in Nature Conservation from Mangosuthu University of Technology in 2001. He began his career in the same year as a Cadet at Kruger National Park where he quickly transitioned into the role of field guide, a position he held until 2005. His passion for conservation then led him to Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife’s Ithala Game Reserve, where he worked as a guide from December 2005 until 2007. In 2007 he joined Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife’s Game Capture Unit as a Rhino Capture Officer. His dedication and and expertise were recognized in 2010 when he was promoted to Officer in Charge of Game Capture Unit, a role he continues to fulfill with distinction. In 2013, Dumisani furthered his education by obtaining a B. Technology, solidifying his knowledge and commitment to preserving wildlife and natural habitats. Zwane is currently Acting Manager of Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife’s Game Capture Unit.
